Decor – Best Xmas Decoration Ideas you Must Try

Alright, folks, Christmas is around the corner & we are officially getting into crunch time, but don’t worry I’ve got the perfect simple but effective way to decorate your house this Christmas!

But first, check out this epic soulful Christmas song by James Brown to get you in the grove!

Now that the music is playing, lets roll up our sleeves & start to think about how we can decorate our houses.

Why not kick off the spirit of Christmas and its celebratory spirit right at the door, hang some tinsel around your door and hang decorative ornaments in and  around it.

Next you gotta have some lights, I always say the more lights the better it gives your home a true feeling of Christmas and  makes it gives your home that touch of magic. Check out this stair light idea which you can replicate on your wall or on your curtains to light up the place.

For bedroom/s go a little easier since the sitting room is the statement piece of you Christmas home décor, by creating lighting pods filled with your lights and Christmas balls or whatever reminds you of Christmas.

Next up we gotta have a tree, the home of all the Christmas Spirit energy running through your home, here are a few ideas that I thought would look great –

I like how they put the tree in a basket so that it would have a clean base, sometimes trees come with a flimsy stand, putting the tree in the basket adds some flavour to the space. You can also wrap a green and red kitenge around the base or as a bow around the top of the basket! The tree is also decorated with a just a few dimmed lights, but you can also add some christmas balls & a star at the top to keep it classic.

Now, when I saw this, i thought was brilliant, the decorator used the wall in the background to determine the theme that the tree was going to have. This is definitely a great idea because no matter how the tree gets decorated, it will always match your sitting room because it has the same colours, genius!

Finally, this one is bit extravagant but if you can then why not go all out! Nothing says Christmas than a well lit & decorated Christmas tree, every morning and night you will get so excited for the days to come & the countdown until the 25th of December with even more excitement to see you Christmas tree every morning!

Also, remember that the little things count during Christmas, so try and add as many little reminders around the house from your duvet cover, to your sitting room pillows, Christmas themed toys for kids & trinkets laid around the house, Oh! – and candles!
