2017 Vote Opens: BBC African Footballer of The Year

Yesterday, during a live broadcast by BBC London, the nominees were revealed:

  • Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund and Gabon)
  • Naby Keita (RB Leipzig and Guinea)
  • Sadio Mane (Liverpool and Senegal)
  • Victor Moses (Chelsea and Nigeria)
  • Mohamed Salah (Liverpool and Liverpool)

Nomination Process:
The five (5) nominees were chosen by top football experts around Africa where they were asked to name their top five (5) contenders, then rank them 1 – 5.
The contenders were selected based on sporting excellence, regional impact and their global significance in 2017.


Results:
The results of the winner will be announced next month on the 11th Dec. 2017 18:05 GMT to 19:00 GMT on BBC World Service, BBC World News, BBC online and social media.
Should there be a tie in the results, then the award is to be shared. Read more terms & conditions
