Celebrated Nigerian artistes Olamide, Yemi Alade, Dremo and Falz will be among the incredible roster of African acts that will hit your screens come September, a sizzling season that will broadcast in more than 30 countries across Africa. Olamide, Falz & Yemi Alade make their return to Coke Studio Africa. In a mega pairing, Olamide links up with South African hip hop artiste AKA – the Supa Mega and top South African music producer Sketchy Bongo. This trio is set to deliver one of Africa’s biggest collabos set to unite the continent – from the South all the way to the West.
Falz famed for hits like “Jeje”, “Soft Work” and “Soldier” hopped in studio with Ugandan legendary artist Bebe Cool, who makes his anticipated debut on the show this year. Last year Falz was paired with Tanzanian rapper Joh Makini and the two produced dope covers of each other’s songs and an original track “You Dey Hot”.
Davido Music Worldwide signed rapper Dremo will this year make his Big Break on Coke Studio Africa. The show has already paired him with legendary South African music group: Mafikizolo and celebrated multi-talented Kenyan artist Nyashinski. Having delivered exciting punch lines and catchy hooks in songs like “Who”, “Iro Nla”, “1-2 Bang” with Davido and “Back 2 Back” with label mates: Mayorkun and Ichaba. The pairing is expected to orchestrate music collaborations that will light up dance floors across Africa under the able hands of top South African pop music producer: Sketchy Bongo.
Yemi Alade, one of Africa’s leading female voices was this time paired with French rapper of Congolese origin: Youssoupha Mabiki of the “Entourage” mega hit. The two are expected to produce an original song, among music covers and fusions produced by Ghanaian heavyweight music producer Killbeatz, who recently co-produced Ed Sheeran’s mega hit “Bibia Be Yeye.” Who else is excited?
