Octopizzo has shared the visuals to ‘Nu Afrika’, one of his tracks off his forthcoming 5th studio album – expected to be heavily influenced by Jazz and Soul – reportedly tittled ‘Next Year’ for it’s futuristic approach. The visuals are as captivating as his message, calling the rest of the globe to shun away the negative stereotypes and invest in Africa. The visual shows the breathtaking topography of Lake Magadi and the vast Turkana. ” …We are not the future anymore, we are the present, invest in Africa today”, goes his parting shot.

The slow paced bouncy soulful track subtly addresses some key issues affecting the continent at large and Kibera slums, where the rapper was raised before his big break. The track also boasts of his unending success that now spuns into a decade. Octopizzo defied the odds and rose from the largest slum in Afrika to rise up the ranks to the creme of Kenya’s hip hop scene cultivating a huge fan base both locally and internationally.
