This past weekend at The Alchemist Bar in Westlands, Thrift shoppers turned out in style to the Social’s clothing swap edition.

In the heat of summer, attendees flocked the gates of the Alchemist to attend the bi-monthly event where some of Nairobi’s most fashionable residence shop and swap some of their favourite fashions.

Thrift Social, is the brainchild of brother-sister styling duo, Papa Petit and Velma Rossa. The The duo have had a hand in creating an open space for artists and event lovers alike to come together, sopping and showcasing mtumba fashion alongside local Kenyan designers.

The electric mood was set thanks to smooth opening sets played by TAIO, and NuFunk who were joined on stage throughout the night by several members of their collectives, contributing their own unique sounds to the trap heavy sets.

Shoppers collected around the Vendors who displayed their carefully curated collections on top of tables, and on clothing racks that surrounded the stage.
