Octopizzo has once again proved his individuality and creativity when it comes to the conceptualization and release of his albums. His sophomore album Long Distance Paper Chasers (L.D.P.C) which went live in August last year was one of the most searched albums on iTunes when it dropped. He pulled one of the biggest if not the biggest solo Hip Hop show in Kenya to launch the album.

Over the weekend Octopizzo dropped his third album ‘Refugeenius’ at a concert held at Prestige Plaza, unconventional in every way possible. While many expected a star studded album as a follow up to his biggest music project yet Octopizzo instead used his career peak and current success to shine light to budding talent from refugees within Kenyan refugees camps in Nairobi, Kakuma and Dadaab through an executive approach.

He has been involved in projects empowering refugees through his foundation (Octopizzo Foundation) with partnerships with UNHCR. The 18 -track project features an array of genres from trap, gospel to lingala showing diversity from the slew of acts picked from different African nationalities.
