Iryn Namubiru And MoRoots Thrill Revellers At Bayimba Festival Day2
Tonight will mark the end the 3 day feast of music, dance, theatre, film, and visual arts at the Kampala based National Theatre. From Friday (day 1), revellers have been part of this amazing gig the Bayimba International Festival of The Arts sponsored by Bell Lager
Yesterday was day two and lots of things took place one of them being the thrilling music performances from the headlining artistes Iryn Namibru and multi talented MoRoots who wowed the revellers with their eye catching live stage performances.
Smartly dressed in a ‘Kitengye’, MoRoots took the stage and the way the crowd ululated was enough to tell they were looking forward to her performance. They danced to and a few sang along as she performed her ‘Just A Young Girl’, ‘Take It All’, ‘I Don’t Blame You’, ‘Omuka’, ‘Let It Beat’ and ‘Say Something’ songs.
Later, dressed in all white, music veteran Iryn Namubiru added on to the crowd’s excitement as she took the stage too performing ‘Nkuweeki’, ‘Bilowoozo’, ‘Tebiba Bingi’, ‘Bilowoozo’, ‘Temperature’, ‘Kabiiki’, ‘Empisa Zo’, ‘Nkwagala Nyo’ and ‘Simbalala’.
On the other hand, there were other performances from artistes like Gravitti Band from Kenya, Amadinda Band , The Blood Brothers Reggae band and Sir Mathias Walukagga who concluded the night’s performances
Although there were ongoing music performances, other activities like the silent disco, live Dj mixes from Dj Wurzelholz on stage two got attendees busy as others were visiting different exhibition stalls which displayed different artistic items like cloths, bags, necklaces, bracelets, caps, hats and eye catching portraits.
