Forbes Hip Hop Cash Kings is out and it has some usual suspects and a bunch surprise names making the Top 10 revered list. P Diddy topped the list for the second year in a row amassing $62 million over the last 12 months with most of his revenue coming from his lucrative multi million premium Ciroc Vodka deal and a host of of host of non music ventures. His annual Bad Boy Re-union Tour also brought Diddy some count.

Jay Z came in second despite having no major releases or an album over the past year. He made $53.5 million mostly from his Roc Nation label,  Armand de Brignac champagne, D’ Usse cognac and his newly set up music streaming giant Tidal. Dre round up the top 3 with $43 million haul, it’s been two since his ‘Beats’  big buy out by Apple that saw him receive $620 million from the historic paycheck.

New generation rappers are giving the OGs a run for their money with Drake, Wiz Khalifa, A$ap Rocky, Dj Khaled making the cut. Drake made $38.5 million thanks to his masterpiece album ‘Views’, his Summer Sixteen Tour and of course the checks from Nike, Sprite and Apple. Wiz Khalifa joined the top 5 Cash Kings with with $28 million coming from 70 shows across the globe. A$ap Rocky’s fashion ventures finally paid off, he makes it to the list with $14.5 million backed with a series of lucrative live gigs.
