Nicki Minaj surprised fans with a six minute – two part ‘Pinkprint’ Freestyle’ that has since gone viral on soundcloud. Nicki has stayed quiet for a while now her last major release being ‘Pinkprint 2014’. In the absence of  releases she has come under much scrutiny from many quarters, she even had to deal with a beef situation with Lil Mama earlier in the year.

Pinkprint freestyle is a remainder to anyone who has been in doubt over her dominance and grip over the rap scene, ‘Queen of Rap’ a title bestowed on her by Beyonce when they teamed up for ‘Feeling Myself’. The track was produced by 24 year old femcee Yung Ma and displays undoubtedly Nicki’s versatility and hard hitting bars. She pays homage to Lil Wayne for signing her which comes just a days after Lil Wayne hinted his retirement.

The second part digs dip into her Caribbean roots sampling Shabba Ranks 1992 hit song ‘Ting-A-Ling’. She then slips into a pretty accurate impression of M.I.A., borrowing from her track ‘Paper Planes.’
