Cosmic Homies Debut EP ‘Only Now and Everlasting’ (O.N.E) dropped a few days ago and they were lucky to share it with their fans and friends for the first time at EA Wave & Freinds. The four member art collective (Marushka,Taio, Kiwango, Karun) together with EA Wave are at the fore front of a new wave in Kenyan Hip Hop that is sweeping East Africa widely termed as NuNairobi.

The mostly upbeat 6-track EP explores the Homies, you get to listen to their different expressions and deliveries as you get deeper into their world, to what’s dear to them, generally their holistic vibe. Their diverse backgrounds are soulfully interwoven giving the EP a timely and boundary-less feel. The fans seem to be in love a whole lot more with ‘Time Flies By’ and ‘Too Lit’ an expression maybe of what the generation is feeling.

The EP is the first complete project the Homies  have released. This comes after a successful US. Tour ‘From Kenya To The World’. The tour saw them rock South by South West 2016 (SXSW) in Austin, Texas and opened up for Hip Hop legend Rakeem at the annual The Trinity International Hip Hop Festival in Hartford, Connecticut.  You can catch them at Nyege Nyege Festival in Jinja, Uganda between 2nd – 4th September.
