Nairobi based rising indie-label We Are The Posse are set for the 5th installment of the MicRobbery concert series slated for September 4th, 2016. Initially started as a bash by The Posse, the seasonal gig has emerged as one of the fastest growing independent gigs in Nairobi. All past 4 concerts have been held at Tree House Club in Westlands.
” We came up with the concept to help empower fellow upcoming independent artists. It made total sense, it helped us grow our brands together and at the same time co-exist, meet, collaborate and network with other peer acts who are leaders in their own musical spaces”

MicRobbery prides itself in creating a unique exprience by featuring an array of sounds from a slew of artists across the city. Since inception a year ago the concert has featured 20 acts; Cee L, Kenna, Third Hand Music, Mankind, Zonda, Chief Mufasa, Kelvin K, Songoma, Kalahi and Ms Kemunto just to name a few.
Through their event outfit Posse Party, The Posse developed a daring model that put the rising artist at the fore front of ticket sales and hands on promotion as a way of stirring the business acumen in the less rewarding underground scene.
”Who makes it to the All Star Alter?? The line up has not been announced yet but we have put out an artist call to reach out to any artist feeling like they were born a star. If you are an artist the stars are aligning. For the music lovers we can hit the next posse party and see what the constellation will look like”
