Rapper Octopizzo seems to be extremely busy over the past few months with his UNHCR project. Today, he landed in Geneva to participate at the Global Refugee Youth Consultation (GYRC). Earlier last year, Octopizzo partnered with United Nation High Commission for Refugees on ‘Artists for Refugees’ project. The program aims to enhance livelihood opportunities for refugees by building their capacity and improving their access to music, art, sports and culture. While working on the project, Octopizzo spent months promoting and nurturing talent among the refugee youth.
Octo is expected to moderate the consultations during the Opening Day. He also will be among the speakers who will discuss various issues that affect the youth in refugee camps and African youth as a whole.
This multi-talented entertainer is from Kibera himself, which is the largest slum in Africa. Octoppizzo engages in community projects to positively impact the lives of the less fortunate in Kenya.
