She is a singer, songwriter and instrumentalist and she agreed to come over for an interview on the challenges of becoming a mother in this industry.

Sage started singing at the age of five with her siblings in church. Eventually she became a vocalist for Muthoni the Drummer Queen. Working with Muthoni, gave her the much needed experience she needed to start a solo career in 2011. Her break-out was when she released “So-Alive” with Octopizzo.

She later went on to release her follow up single ‘Maskini’ and has managed to do collaborations with other Kenyan acts including rap group One-two-five and Jay A with whom she released sleeper hit ‘Dumbala’.

Her music can be described as a soulful fusion of all things musical. She writes from the heart and is not afraid of expressing raw emotion. The singer has managed to perform at festivals such as Blankets and Wine, the Kinanda Festival and the Go Down gig among others. The fast rising star is set to release her debut album before the end of the year (2014). She is definitely a voice to look out for in the International music scene.
